Emerging Talent

Whether you’re still studying and looking to gain valuable experience in your placement year, or you’ve graduated and are ready to take the next step, at TGB we have a range of opportunities available in our different 'Emerging Talent' programmes.


We're now excited to offer limited Degree Apprenticeships at TGB. In these roles, you'll gain real life experience while you're studying. You'll be given meaningful work to complete, the support you need for your ongoing study and a supportive manager to help you balance your work, life and study.

Industry Placement

Our 12-month student placements give motivated and ambitious undergraduates the chance to gain invaluable industry experience as part of their university qualification. The placement is a brilliant opportunity for students wanting to enhance their skills in a fast-paced environment with lots of exposure to the wider business, the opportunity for ongoing learning and the offer of continuous support. Our students are given industry leading, Toyota specific project training, presenting their findings to both stakeholders and peers. Students do meaningful work and are encouraged to leave something better than they found it, a real measurable legacy!

Award winning placements

Graduate Programme

Our 18-month rotational graduate programme helps to identify your strengths and realise your potential. The development structure is broken down so that you spend 70% of your time training on the job, 20% learning from others and 10% through formal activities. The programme grants you exposure to many areas of the business by rotating between different teams across the organisation.

You'll get meaningful work to do and a project in each department, you'll get listened to and your insight is sought and respected. We know what makes grads tick and we've identified key areas to help you on your way to greatness through our 'Success Profile', which Is your 'How To' guide to becoming a well-rounded professional at TGB.

Recruitment Process

Remote Testing

If you’ve met the criteria identified for one of our emerging talent roles, for you the next step is online testing. This will be a combination of one-way video Interviewing (for you to bring your application to life), personality profiling or psychometric testing.


Assessment Centre

If you meet the online testing criteria identified for one of our emerging talent roles, we'll invite you in to meet us on a group assessment day. During the day you’ll take part in individual & group activities designed to help us get to know you, highlight potential, competency and motivation. You’ll also get the chance to meet the hiring manager and key stakeholders and to ask us any questions you have. Depending on the level of the role we might ask you to do some preparation before you come in, and then present this to us.
