Multimedia Videos

Press the Phone button and then Messages icon. Texts are shown in the Inbox tab. Select the text you wish to read and press ‘Reply Free Text’ to reply, which allows you to manually enter a short message or touch ‘Reply Template’ to select a pre-loaded prepared message and select OK. To create and send a new text message select the Create New tab. Here you have the option to Create Message, or Use Template.

To begin using your phone with the multimedia system, you must first connect it up using your Bluetooth. Activate your Bluetooth on your phone and press the setup button on your Touch 2. Press Connectivity then Bluetooth and Search Device. When your phone is found, select it and press agree to connect and your pone will now be paired for calls and music.

 

To pair a phone via Bluetooth from the set-up screen, tap Bluetooth, followed by add new device. Select your car from the Bluetooth devices shown, it will be shown as Toyota Touch and confirm the passkey if required. Once paired successfully, you will be able to make calls; read and send messages and use the audio features.

 

To pair a phone via USB, simply ensure your phones USB cable is correctly inserted into the car's USB port and also attached to your phone.

 

To pair a phone, simply tap Phone, and tap Yes to add a new connection when prompted.

At this point refer to your device and select the car from the Bluetooth devices shown, it will be listed as My Touch Screen. Once pairing is complete, you will see the pairing successful screen.

To set a route, simply tap the flag icon in the top right. Then tap Enter address. You can put in the town, postal code or even the street address. Touch 2 will calculate the route and you then tap Route Options. From here you can stipulate whether you would like the fastest, shortest or most ecological route. You can stop a route at any time by tapping the ellipsis icon in the bottom right and tapping Stop.

 

To access audio features, first tap the media button. From here you can select from AM, FM, DAB and Bluetooth. You can also pull in the audio from your Bluetooth connected device and activate the vehicle’s DAB.

 

To use the multimedia features on your Touch 2, press the media button. This gives you access to AM, FM and DAB radio as well as any auxiliary deice such as music on your phone.


Connect your device or media source to the USB port – music on the USB/MP3 player will start playing automatically. To switch between music sources, press media button and choose the source that you want to listen to. To navigate through your music library, touch BROWSE. You can then search by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song or Genre.

 

To pair a phone via USB, simply ensure your phone’s USB cable is correctly inserted into the car’s USB port and also attached to your phone. Tap connection then through to Smartphone and enable MirrorLink all compatible installed apps will be shown, if there are no installed mirror link apps, this screen be blank.

 

X-touch Sat Nav can be accessed by tapping Connection and then Navi. To enter the Satnav menu screen tap the menu icon. To set a route, tap Drive To and put in either address or Postcode to get your desired location. Once done, simply hit OK and, when prompted, Drive To.
