Every vehicle over three years old (or four in Northern Ireland) must pass an MOT test to ensure it meets UK road safety and environmental standards. Complete your MOT with us to benefit from expert technicians checking your vehicle to keep it safe and roadworthy.

Servicing, MOT and Maintenance FAQs

It doesn’t matter where you purchased your Toyota—you’ll still receive expert care at any Toyota dealer. Our Toyota-trained technicians use genuine Toyota parts, and you’ll still benefit from Service Plan Plus, MOT and service options, and complimentary benefits.

You can access your Toyota service history through the MyToyota app or by contacting your nearest Toyota dealer. Keeping a record of your service history helps ensure your vehicle remains well-maintained and retains its resale value. Alternatively, you can also get your service history through My Toyota. Simply sign in, select your vehicle and then the 'Service History' tab under the main menu icon.

You can find your service history in the Service and Warranty booklet that comes with your vehicle. If you're unable to find this or the booklet is lost, please contact your nearest Toyota dealer who'll be able to support you.

The Toyota 3‑year/60,000‑mile manufacturer’s warranty covers key components, including the engine, transmission, and hybrid system. Beyond this, vehicles serviced at Approved Toyota dealers may be eligible for new warranty cover every time you complete a qualifying service — qualifying services are available until your vehicle is 10‑years old or reaches 100,000 miles*.

Depending on the age and mileage of your vehicle, there are different levels of Toyota servicing provided with different inclusions. Please enter your registration on our Online Service Booking tool to find out what is included for your vehicle under your selected service.

Toyota offers fixed-price servicing with no hidden costs, so you'll always know what to expect. The cost of your service booking depends on your vehicle type and level of service required. Toyota recommends servicing your vehicle every 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. For vehicles with a 24-month service interval, servicing is required every two years or 20,000 miles to maintain eligibility for the Toyota Service Activated Warranty*.

You can book for a Toyota service or MOT for your car either by using our Online Service Booking  tool, or contacting your local Toyota dealer directly.

For changes to your existing service or MOT booking, please contact the dealer you have booked with directly.

A standard Car MOT test takes around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your vehicle’s condition. If repairs are needed, your Toyota dealer will inform you of the next steps.

If your MOT check is booked and your previous MOT has expired, you can only drive directly to your MOT appointment. Driving without a valid MOT outside of this exception may result in penalties.

The cost of a Toyota MOT booking depends on your vehicle type. Toyota dealers offer transparent pricing, and you can check with your nearest dealer for details.

Service Plan Plus covers Toyota servicing, but MOT coverage varies by plan. If you have a Service Plan Plus, check your agreement or contract your Toyota dealer to confirm whether your plan includes an MOT.

Yes, you will need to undertake a soft credit check, which returns a 99% approval rate. You will know immediately if the agreement has been approved.

All Toyota vehicles are eligible for Service Today Plan, if you have a service due today, and your mileage meets the eligibility criteria.

Service Plan Plus is designed to compliment the sale of a new Toyota or an Approved-Used Toyota. It is a comprehensive ownership package inclusive of MOT, Toyota Roadside Assistance, and servicing for your vehicle.**

 

Our Service Today Plan product is designed for existing Toyota owners who do not currently have a service plan, to support service costs due today, whilst allowing you to get ahead with your payments for you future service, at 0% interest.

As a customer, you are responsible for the payments agreed as part of the Service Plan contract. You shall remain liable for any unpaid services. If you request to cancel your plan, you will be required to pay/settle any outstanding payments from the services you have taken and will only be refunded the excess for unclaimed services. You will also be required to pay a cancellation fee of £26.40.

Toyota Roadside Assistance gives you 24/7 cover, 365 days a year, whether you're at home, on the road, or travelling in 40 European countries. If you break down, our expert partners at The AA will be there to help, ensuring you get back on the road as quickly as possible. Your cover includes:

 

24/7 breakdown cover across the UK – Our Toyota roadside assistance team will get you back on the road as quickly as possible.

 

At Home – We'll come to you if your car won’t start on the driveway.

 

Recovery to any UK destination – If we can’t fix your vehicle on the roadside, we’ll take it to your preferred location or a Toyota Authorised dealer.
