The new Hilux backs up its legendary strength with a range of advanced safety and assistance systems.

Automatic Rear Flashing Hazard Lights (ARFHL)

This system alerts vehicles approaching from behind by flashing the hazard lights if there is a high possibility of a rear-end collision.

Automatic High Beam (AHB)

The Automatic High Beam system looks down the road to see oncoming headlights. If it detects headlights, it automatically turns off the high beams and engages low beams. When the headlights pass, the system automatically switches to high beams again. The result? Helping safer night-time driving.

Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)

Our Blind Spot Monitoring system alerts the driver to any vehicles they might not have seen in their side mirrors. This is particularly useful when overtaking.

Emergency Driving Stop System (EDSS)

If no driver input is detected for some time, audible warnings sound to alert the driver. Failing this, the vehicle automatically slows, coming to a stop without straying from the current lane. Hazard lights activate to warn other road users and doors are opened to allow easy access for emergency services, if needed.

Pre-collision System (PCS)

Our Pre-Collision System can detect and help you avoid collisions with other vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. It works by alerting the driver with audio and visual warnings and brake assistance. If the driver doesn’t manage to brake in time the brakes automatically engage to help prevent or mitigate a collision.

Adaptive Cruise control (ACC)

This system keeps you at a minimum pre-set distance from the vehicle in front. If this distance falls, the system reduces your speed and eventually the brakes will be applied and brake lights activated. If your car is equipped with Road Sign Assist (RSA), this system will also recognize speed limits on your driving route and suggest any necessary adjustments.

Absolutely. The All‑Electric Hilux retains the legendary toughness the Hilux is known for. Its dedicated e‑Axles and Multi‑Terrain Select system help deliver confident performance on rough ground, ensuring you can take on challenging worksites and off-road routes, all without a traditional diesel powertrain.

The towing capacity is up to 1,700kg, making it suitable for both work and off‑road use.

The All-New Diesel Hilux is classified as an N1 commercial vehicle, meaning it continues to be treated as a light commercial vehicle rather than a car.

VAT eligibility for the All-New Diesel Hilux has not changed. If the purchasing business is VAT‑registered and the Hilux has a payload of at least 1,000kg, it is not treated as a car for VAT purposes. In these circumstances, VAT may be reclaimed in line with standard VAT rules, subject to the level of business use.

The All-New Diesel Hilux is subject to standard commercial vehicle road tax, currently set at £360 per year.

 

As it is classified as a commercial vehicle, it is not affected by the luxury car tax supplement.

The All-New Diesel Hilux will be available in a 2‑seat configuration. When configured with two seats only, the Hilux is expected to be treated as a van for Benefit‑in‑Kind (BIK) purposes. This means it would be subject to the standard Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) BIK charge, rather than company car BIK.
