The Toyota Service Activated Warranty is a vehicle warranty which is applied automatically on the completion of each Eligible Service and lasts up until the next scheduled routine service.

Once your manufacturer’s warranty expires, you can continue to enjoy peace of mind with our Service Activated Warranty. Simply have an eligible service (full or interim) at an authorised Toyota dealer, and you’ll receive a new warranty, until the vehicle is 10-years old or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first).

 

For vehicles with two-year service intervals, cover lasts for 24-months or 20,000 miles. You can check your service schedule in your vehicle’s service record book.

 

There’s nothing extra to sign—your warranty status is recorded within the Toyota network and noted on your service invoice. Each eligible service will also be documented in your service booklet. We recommend keeping all invoices during your ownership, as they may be required if you make a claim.

 

Our central record ensures your warranty is recognised at any Authorised Toyota dealer, even if you move or choose a different location for servicing. After an eligible service, you’ll receive a confirmation email from your Toyota dealer (provided they have your email address).

No, our Service Activated Warranty is automatically activated, free of charge, following the completion of a eligible service (full or interim) at an Authorised Toyota dealer.

From 1st June 2021, all new Toyota vehicles registered come with a three-year or 60,000-mile manufacturer’s warranty as standard (whichever comes first). Vehicles registered before this date came with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.

 

All Toyota Approved Used vehicles come with a minimum of 12-months warranty with no mileage limit. This could be a combination of remaining manufactures warranty and Service Activated Warranty.

Every time your vehicle receives an eligible service (full or interim) at an Authorised Toyota dealer, you’ll benefit from a new warranty, until your car reaches 10-years old or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first).

 

There’s nothing extra to do. Your warranty is automatically activated after an eligible service (full or interim) at an Authorised Toyota dealer has been completed. By keeping to your vehicle’s service schedule, you're helping to ensure your Toyota performs for the year ahead.

Even if your Toyota is five years old and has never been serviced at an Authorised Toyota dealer you can still benefit from our Service Activated Warranty.

 

Simply book your next service (full or interim) at any Authorised Toyota dealer, and once completed, your vehicle will automatically receive a new 12-months or 10,000 miles of warranty cover (or 24 months / 20,000 miles if your vehicle follows a two-year service schedule).

 

There’s no need for prior Toyota service history—we welcome all Toyota owners, regardless of where your vehicle has been serviced before.

 

Please note: If an issue arises due to missed or improper maintenance in the past, it will not be covered under our Service Activated Warranty.

If your service is carried out late, you can still activate a new warranty contract. However, any issues that occur between your previous contract expiring and the new one starting will not be covered.

 

To ensure seamless protection, your vehicle must be serviced before the current warranty expires. This will activate your new contract and maintain continuous cover.

If your Service Activated Warranty has expired and you haven’t booked an immediate service, don’t worry—you can still reactivate your cover. Simply book an eligible service (full or interim) at any Authorised Toyota dealer, and you'll receive a new warranty which will restart from that date, giving you 12-months or 10,000 miles of protection (whichever comes first).

Yes, your vehicle may still be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, depending on when it was first registered.

 

Once your manufacturer’s warranty expires, Toyota offers a Service Activated Warranty to keep your vehicle covered. Simply book an eligible service (full or interim) at any Authorised Toyota dealer, and you'll receive a new 1-year of warranty or up to 10,000 miles.

The Toyota 3-year/60,000-mile manufacturer’s warranty covers key components, including the engine, transmission, and hybrid system. Every time your eligible vehicle completes an eligible service, a new warranty contract is activated—there’s nothing extra you need to do.

 

Your cover lasts until your next qualifying/routine service from the date of that service.

Where scheduled maintenance is every two years, a new warranty contract will automatically be activated following an eligible service and cover the vehicle for two years/20,000 miles (whichever comes first).

Warranty claims for vehicle modifications are only covered if the work was carried out by an authorised Toyota dealer using Toyota Genuine Parts and Accessories. Any other modifications will not be included under our Service Activated Warranty.

Yes, you have to have your vehicle serviced at any Authorised Toyota dealer.

 

It doesn’t need to be the same Toyota dealer where you purchased your car or had previous services. Every Toyota dealer has access to your active warranty details, so any required warranty work can also be carried out at any Authorised Toyota dealer.

Yes. As long as your vehicle meets the eligibility criteria is under 10-years old or 100,000 miles and it is serviced by an Approved Toyota dealer within the 'Geographical Zone', you will benefit from our Service Activated Warranty.

If your vehicle requires repairs under warranty, please contact your local Toyota dealer for guidance and to arrange a convenient booking for your vehicle to be inspected and the necessary repair work carried out.

If you sell your vehicle, the remaining warranty transfers to the new owner until it expires. Please note, the warranty applies only to the specific vehicle and cannot be transferred to another vehicle.

Your local Toyota dealer should be able to advise you on the service history of your vehicle if the service has taken place at a Approved Toyota dealer.
