All-wheel drive, all-round talentThe new RAV4 has spirit. The spirit for adventure. When you need that extra traction, the new RAV4 Hybrid all-wheel drive provides extra confidence and sure-footed handling. You get power and refinement, with the Toyota hybrid benefits of low emissions and running costs.

Business leaderThe low-emission Toyota hybrids are great for business owners. The new RAV4 Hybrid two-wheel drive has remarkably low, highly tax-efficient CO2 emissions of just 115g/km, reducing the benefit-in-kind tax for business owners.

/

Comfort for fiveThe new RAV4 is a true five-seater, with plenty of space for five adults, and a driving position that gives a commanding view of the road ahead.

/

DependabilityWe all take something for granted. Something that’s always there when you need it. For a lot of people, that something is a Toyota. We’ve got a well-earned reputation for creating vehicles that are reliable and dependable. It’s something of which we’re very proud.

Elegant designThe redesigned dynamic look starts at the front. A remodelled bumper emphasises the vehicle’s powerful stance and a slender upper grille anchors the new Bi-LED headlamp clusters on the Icon and Excel grades. At the rear, a new bumper and sleek lamp clusters give more visual prominence. Imposing new alloy wheels complete the new RAV4’s strong, contemporary presence.

Fit for a familyWith class-leading load space and clever storage cubbyholes, the new RAV4’s large boot space and spacious cabin will easily accommodate an adventurous lifestyle, whether you’re packing in the family luggage for a week away or loading up for a long weekend camping.

Hybrid – we’re the hybrid pioneersFor a technology that’s such a revolution, that dramatically lowers running costs and emissions, some people are surprised that you drive a Toyota hybrid just like you do any other automatic car. The clever stuff takes place behind the scenes, as power switches seamlessly between a petrol engine and powerful electric motor. There’s no need to ‘plug in’ the new RAV4 Hybrid, as when you brake, the car cleverly converts energy that would otherwise be lost into electricity to recharge its hybrid batteries. The all-wheel drive model has a second electric motor that powers the rear wheels for increased traction. We’ve now sold more than eight million Toyota hybrids. Hybrid is Toyota.

Integrated Dynamic DriveWhat does that mean when you’re behind the wheel of the new RAV4? Well, the system improves agility and driving performance, both on and off road, as well as optimising safety and fuel efficiency. And if you’re interested in the techy bit: it’s a sophisticated, high-speed interactive management system that controls the car’s all-wheel-drive systems.

/

Joy to driveWhen driving the new RAV4 under electric hybrid power you’ll notice something quite special – the silence. The relaxed drive and calm, quiet cabin environment really is something you have to experience to believe. It will help to put a smile back on your face during busy urban driving. Under electric power our hybrids also produce zero exhaust emissions – yet another reason hybrid can make you feel good.

Kaizen – change for the goodToyota has a reputation for efficiency and innovation, whether that’s in our cars or production processes. This is what the Japanese word Kaizen helps us focus on, our Always a Better Way ethos. Continuously improving every element, from a vehicle’s chassis or exterior design to the way the multimedia touchscreen functions.

Light fantasticHelping to light up – literally – the new RAV4’s fresh look are LED daytime running lights and LED rear lamps. As well as helping to create the signature look, LEDs have no wear-and-tear parts, so last much longer than standard bulbs. They also use less electricity, reducing the drain on the car’s battery and, in turn, lowering fuel consumption and emissions.

Multimedia is a touch awayWouldn’t it be great to have a one-stop, in-car multimedia solution that lets you use a range of useful features such as full-map navigation, calls via Bluetooth, MP3 and iPod connectivity? The Toyota Touch 2 with Go system does just that on an intuitive, high-resolution, full-colour 7-inch touchscreen. You can even select many of the functions from the steering wheel controls.

New enginesTo improve efficiency and performance, the new RAV4’s engine options have been redeveloped, too. There’s a new 2.0-litre diesel and improved petrol engines, as well as that pioneering hybrid powertrain.

Original SUV. Redefined.Twenty years ago, Toyota changed the motoring landscape with the launch of the original RAV4, a new kind of car that pioneered today’s highly popular compact SUV market and left other car makers following in its tracks. It proved an instant hit – buyers loved the car’s lively performance, fuel economy, elevated driving position and all-weather ability – and it was a critic’s favourite, too, scooping numerous international awards. The new RAV4 continues that innovative spirit of the original.

/

Pioneering technologiesThe new RAV4 is packed with thoughtful technology, all with actual real-world benefit. Take, for example, the power boot lid that offers hands-free easy access when your hands are full of shopping, Toyota hybrid technology (see H) or Toyota Safety Sense (see T). There’s even a rear-view camera to make reversing out of tricky spaces simpler.

/

Quality materialsFrom the premium feel of the new interior materials, to the quality of the exquisite new seat trims and leather – whichever RAV4 you choose, you’ll feel a class apart in a high-quality interior.

/

Real pulling powerWith a high towing capacity of up to 1,650kg on the all-wheel-drive hybrid versions, the new RAV4 lets you take your adventure with you.

Toyota Safety SenseThis is a group of newly developed active safety technologies, created to keep you and other road users safer than ever before. Using a small camera and a laser sensor on the inside of the windscreen, six systems – Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Pedestrian Detection, Automatic High Beam, Road Sign Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control – add a new level of safety across a range of real-world traffic situations and can even lower insurance costs.

/

Upgraded handlingToyota engineers have worked hard on the chassis and suspension of this new RAV4 to create a much more dynamic feel behind the wheel, so the handling is more engaging whatever grade or engine you choose.

/

Versatile accessoriesA full range of roof racks, dog guards, bike carriers, roof boxes and more are available, to ensure the new RAV4 fits with your lifestyle.

/
