Student Placement FAQs

Q) Do you offer a graduate scheme?

Yes; we offer all our undergraduate placement students the chance to be considered for one of our graduate roles.

Q) When do I need to apply for placements?

Our placements are advertised in October, and your application will usually need to be in during mid-December. The exact date will be given on the website when the vacancies are live.

Q) Are they paid placements?

Yes, you will receive a salary for your placement year.

Q) How is a student placement job different to a regular employee job?

There is very little difference, other than the length of time you are with us. All our placement students are given genuine responsibilities, and have a direct impact on the success of Toyota.

Q) What benefits would I get as an employee of Toyota?

Q) Will there be other placement students there too?

Yes; we have around 20 placement students

Q) When will my placement start?

Placements start any time during June – September dependent on the role you apply for.

Q) What will my first few weeks look like?

You will have a 1 – 2 week handover with the existing student. Student placements also receive a corporate induction and ongoing on the job training. Any other specific training needs are discussed and agreed with the Line Manager.

Q) Do you offer international placements?

All placements at Toyota (GB) PLC are situated at our Head Office in Epsom, Surrey. If you are interested in an international placement, please follow the link to “Other Toyota Opportunities” at the bottom of the page

Q) Do you offer summer internships?

Unfortunately we do not offer summer internships.
