Zero isn't our destination. It's another step in our electrification journey that began in 1997 with Hybrid and continues with Plug-in Hybrids, Battery-Electric vehicles and Hydrogen-powered cars.

Beyond low emissions

Over 20 years ago, the goal of zero emissions inspired us to introduce the world's first Hybrid production car.

That inspirational drive continues today, with plans to launch 40 new or updated electric vehicles by 2025, Toyota will offer a wide range of electrified powertrains. That way, everyone can enjoy the right technology, at the right time, for their needs.

*Average percent of 124,795 combined test drive journeys spent in electric mode on Yaris, Auris, Corolla, C-HR, Camry and RAV4 Hybrids and Prius family. Test drives taken nationally between 01/04/2016 and 31/12/2020 in a variety of weather and driving conditions. Test drives conducted over a total of 1,727,055 miles at an average speed of 23mph.
