The 7th Toyota Dream Car UK awards ceremony took place at Toyota GB’s Burgh Heath headquarters on 17th February 2017.

29 Toyota centres nationwide took part in the annual Dream Car art competition, with 659 entries in total. Each child had to draw their own ‘dream’ car, alongside a description of their vehicle and what it could be used for. These drawings were then sent to Toyota GB’s head office for judging. Nine lucky contestants from across Great Britain were invited as finalists to take part in the UK’s award ceremony. There were three finalists per age category: under 8s, 8 – 11 year olds and 12 – 15 years old.

Toyota GB’s managing director, Paul Van der Burgh (see above) presented each contestant with a framed copy of their drawing, a themed goody bag and a brand new tablet. Check out the gallery below of all the UK finalists’ drawings from each age category.

The Happy Van: The van has been created to make everyone happy. It is decorated in smiley faces and love hearts.

The car can fly, tell jokes, sing songs, shower you with sweets, gum drops and fairy glitter.

It also has love heart lights that lead the way with warm hugs. It also travels along on a rainbow road.

The Tidying Turtle Car: The tidying turtle car is powered by the solar power cells on the shell, he sucks up rubbish off the beach and from the sea with his tongue.

The rubbish is recycled and turned into fuel.

It can drive/walk on land or be a submarine in the water. It keeps the sea system clean!
