Class-leading interior space

As well as extra space between the car and the terrain, 4x4s generally have a lot more leg room, head room, and extra space on the inside than the average car – so you’re guaranteed a comfortable journey.

Toyota’s Easy Flat seating system is a key feature in the Land Cruiser, meaning that the second and third row of seats can be flattened to provide maximum versatility.

Ideal for family friendly adventures

This spaciousness makes a 4x4 a great family car, too. Cars like the Land Cruiser, for example, are available with as many as seven seats so there’s room for you and your loved ones. If you’re regularly needing to fit more than three or four people in your car, especially for long trips, a 4x4 may be a worthwhile investment for a family that wants to travel comfortably.

The RAV4 all-wheel drive model also has a towing capacity of up to 1,650kg, perfect for any sporting or camping equipment needed for family holidays.

A car that won’t let you down

Designed to tackle the knocks and heavy bumps of travelling over harsh terrain, 4x4s are built prepared for any situation.

The Land Cruiser comes with Multi-Terrain select, which can tailor the car’s responses to five terrain environments.

Safety is paramount with the Hilux and RAV4, with Toyota Safety Sense features as standard (except RAV4 Active and Hilux Active and Icon grades) such as Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert and Road Sign Assist.

Perfect for both the country and city

Even though 4x4s are designed to handle uneven terrain, they’re just as good on-road as they are off-road. For example, the RAV4 has an integrated dynamic drive system, ideal for going around sharp corners and tight twisting roads.

The RAV4 hybrid model is economical to run, with an mpg of up to 57.6, making it a great choice for city-dwellers who regularly travel long distances or fill the car with luggage or other large items.
