The refreshing new retail concept Toyota showroom has just been awarded the highlycoveted International Design Effectiveness Award. Toyota beat fellow nominees M&S, Sainsburys and Virgin Atlantic to become the first car manufacturer to be recognised in the Retail & Leisure Interiors Category.
The Toyota name can speak for itself, but all too often drivers can find themselves being distracted by sales staff. Toyota decided to change this by introducing a host, and by creating a relaxed and informal environment that has comfy seating, modern lighting and private discussion areas. You can watch your car being serviced through the glass walls separating the showroom from the garage, log on to the internet and relax with a coffee while you wait. Theres also a place for the kids with bean bags, satellite TV and video games. Goodbye to the look but dont touch showroom!
