Dear Mr Duval,
I am a proud owner of a 1990 Carina II Limited Edition - 25 years of Toyota in England. Its edition serial number is 130 and is metallic grey. I would like to know how many such Carinas were produced for this particular limited edition for the UK? Were they all in the same colour? And, perhaps through the pages of In Front via a feedback questionaire, an estimate of how many Club Toyota members are in possession of this particular limited edition model. I have seen one other within the Brighton area which, like mine, is metallic grey and in impeccable condition.... Mine has so far covered almost 92,000 miles and feels as if the car has just been run-in.
My other car is a Toyota as well (well, it’s the wife’s car really!), a 1992 Starlet that has only done a mere 45,000 miles!

Dear In Front Team,
I have only just received a copy of this month’s issue of In Front it makes interesting reading. Sadly I only get to drive my Yaris occasionally as I am at present living in Japan.
The VITZ is a good substitute, being the Japanese model. However, when we return to the UK for our retirement the idea is to buy a ‘REAL’ car as my husband puts it. One with four doors, air conditioning, and any other extra I am sure he will think of. Having lived in the far east for several years and driven only automatic cars I wondered if you could in one of your future issues include information regarding which models have automatic as standard or if an extra, what the cost is and comparison performances.

Upon reading the Autumn 2001 edition of In Front and the article on air conditioning, you failed to mention the biggest advantage of air conditioning in the winter (i.e. the ability to demist all the interior surfaces of windows rapidly, making the car much safer to drive on a cold damp winter’s morning). I enjoy In Front very much.
